Drawing Workshops with Diane Elliott
Amongst our exciting workshops we are lucky to have Diane Elliott's drawing workshops. Please find below all information about Diane, who is also the Developmental Manager of the Aberdeen Waldorf School.
Diane Elliott -
Qualified Instructor for 'Drawing From The Right Side Of The Brain'
I had founded a school in
Los Angeles (British American School) and was eager to find an excellent
drawing class for the students. I had read about the success of the Betty
Edwards drawing course and decided to try the course before introducing it
to the school.
I completed the course at OTIS
College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, and studied under Linda Jo
Russel, a member of the original group who developed the program with
Betty Edwards.
Throughout the process,
students develop their perceptual skills through exercised focusing on
contour, line, positive/negative, space, sighting and light/shadow
relationships.
I have delivered the course
to older children and adults over the past 3 years. Without exception,
everyone who has completed the course enjoys it and feels their drawing
skills have really improved.
NEOS at the Waldorf Program - Now available!
Our program for the exhibition is now out and it is packed with many exciting events from workshops to demonstrations and talks. Please check the NEOS Program for full details!
We will have workshops in crochet, knitting, painting, decorating of ceramic, felt making, fibre craft, copper foil glass work and drawing. There will be demonstrations of silver & gold smithing, glass cutting, knitting and crocheting.
Furthermore we will be able to enjoy a lovely cafe with home bakes, soups and teas and coffee as well as a school exhibition and information about the Aberdeen Waldorf School and their educational aspects.
Robin Key - Clavis Jewellery
Robin Key is a silver and gold smith, designer and stone setter. Robin is the maker behind Clavis Jewellery. His beautiful work is inspired by the heritage of the country. Robin will show his skills on his mobile workbench throughout our NEOS exhibition.
Mags Gray
Mags Gray is a ceramic artist. At NEOS she will exhibit small porcelain works and larger hand-built stone ware. Mags' works usually tell a narrative and intrigue the viewer with their expressive point of view.
Alice Stuart
Alice Stuart is a painter who draws her inspiration form the Scottish landscape. She works with oil and acrylics. Her beautiful artwork intrigues with the use of strong colours and depths.
