Anita Inverarity Art
Isabel Sarran of Tristan & Iseult
Isabel Sarran is a textile artist. Her main focus is on wet felting and nuno felting. Her work contains usable art such as scarves, jewellery and home ware, and decorative art such as pictures. For this year's NEOS she combined the felt making with printing, rust dyeing, tie dyeing and fibre work. The view is drawn to colour, texture and the contrast of materials.
Beate Allerton Art
Beate Allerton is a photographer. Beate's work shows the beauty and wonder of the small details, which are often overlooked. Her beautiful work draws attention to the fragile elements of life.
Helen Stephen - Glass
Helen Stephen is working with fused glass. She produces jewellery, mirrors and pictures. Her wonderful glass pictures are made from layering the different coloured glass and 'paint' with glass frit (very small glass pieces) before fusing the picture. This technique lends itself to the creation of the beautiful Scottish landscape caught in Helen's glass pictures.
Carol Meldrum of beatknit
Carol Meldrum is very busy preparing her wonderful knitted and crocheted items for NEOS. Furthermore again this year she will bring yarn in an abundance of colours and show visitors her amazing skills. Every day there will be workshops with Carol. For more information, please visit our NEOS program.
Robin Key of Clavis Jewellery
Exciting news today that one of Robin's specially commissioned brooches will be appearing in this new film release. This came about after an encounter with the client at last years NEOS.
He says:
'Last year during NEOS I was at the Waldorf when a gentleman called Richard Burke came to my stand and asked me if I could make a special brooch for a film that he had written and was going to produce in the NE. Long story short. The film was made and the trailer is now out. I am so proud to have played a little part of this amazing piece of art.'
